Final Fantasy Versus XIII reveal mysteriously stymied

Tetusya Nomura has said a promised Final Fantasy Versus XIII reveal has been held up, but could not explain why.

Speaking to Famitsu, as reported by Andriasang, Nomura said the new demo is very nearly ready, but won't be on show soon.

Frustratingly, he couldn't explain why, citing "totally unrelated" circumstances reasons. Nomura said he couldn't discuss the problem and can only try to remedy it through ongoing discussions.

In January, the director and producer said the game would soon be shown as a real time demo, having made multiple references to an imminent reveal over the preceding months.

The RPG has failed to make an appearance at any Square Enix attended event since.

Final fantasy Versus XIII has been in development since at least 2007, but apparently only went into "full" production in September 2011. It has gone stealth for long periods in the interim, and was last seen over a year ago.
