Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka has confirmed there are no current plans to make a third episode for Sonic 4.

Speaking to Digital Spy at a recent Sega digital event in London, Iizuka said the studio was “looking forward to hearing the feedback from the users for Episode 2, but we are currently not planning to release another episode.”

He added: “We just want to see how the users accept this episode.”

Sonic 4: Episode II launches this year for PSN, XBLA, PC, iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
