GameStop: Donkey Kong 3D pre-order display at EB Games "not supplied by Nintendo"

GameStop has said the Donkey Kong 3D display cases at EB Games, shots of which which popped up over the weekend, were "not supplied by Nintendo and have been taken down."

According to spokesperson speaking with Kotaku: "It's definitely not in the system in the U.S. I'm sure it's not elsewhere, either, but I can't confirm that."

This weekend, a picture posted over on DKvine, claiming to be from an unknown EB Games store showed what appeared to be empty placeholder boxes for the 3DS title.

Nothing regarding Donkey Kong 3D (working title) has been announced since Nintendo said it was in development during E3 2011.

So either GameStop is covering for an employee "whoopsie" or someone is pretty decent with Photoshop.
