TellTale's Walking Dead coming soon, Fables due in third quarter

Two of Telltale's upcoming action games have gained slightly firmer release windows.

Telltale Games co-founder and CEO Dan Connors told Digital Trends that The Walking Dead should be submitted for certification this week.

The adventure is expected to launch on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade once certification is complete - about six weeks if all goes well. Telltale hopes to release the first episode in April or May to cash in on the hype around the TV show's second season, which ends on March 18.

No release details have been given for other platforms; Telltale's usual release pattern includes PC and iOS.

The executive also spilled some details on the developer's anticipated adaptation of comic book series Fables. The team hopes to show the game soon, at E3 and then the San Diego Comic-Con, ahead of a third quarter release.

The game has gone under the radar as Telltale messaged The Walking Dead, but Connors also said that its title is yet to be set in stone, which certainly puts a crimp on marketing plans.
