Armored Core V goes gold, gets US pre-order bonuses

From Software's latest mech sim has been approved for manufacturing ahead of its release later this month.

The shooter has gone gold and will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 20 in the US and March 23 in Europe.

US pre-orders through GameStop will net a Heavy Assault DLC pack, while Amazon buyers will score a Recon DLC pack Both include weapons and parts for use in the game's multiplayer.

Multiplayer supports up to ten players, and all mechs are fully customisable with up to 500 parts, lending a definite element of strategy.

Armored Core is a long-running franchise which is highly respected but not overly beginner friendly.
