BioWare “incredibly proud” as ME3 ships 3.5 million WW

EA's announced, following today's European release, that Mass Effect 3 has shipped 3.5 million units worldwide.

Dr Ray is, quite naturally, happy at the news, as well as paying tribute to series executive producer Casey Hudson.

"We have been truly humbled by the amazing response from fans and critics for Mass Effect 3," said BioWare GM Muzyka.

"The game is a gripping, engaging experience where the decisions and choices you make will truly stay with you for the months and years ahead. We are all incredibly proud of Casey Hudson and the teams in Edmonton and Montreal for delivering the best game BioWare has ever made."

It was revealed this afternoon via EA CEO John Riccitiello that the RPG had sold nearly 900,000 units in its opening 24 hours on sale in the US.

Its likely it has hit 1 million by now following today's EU release.

Most UK retailers are also reporting sellouts of the N7 Collectors Edition, with very few carrying it as of this morning.
