Dust 514 may come to PC after all

CCP has hinted that PlayStation 3 exclusive EVE Online tie-in DUST 514 may come to PC eventually.

Speaking to Massively at GDC 2012, CCP's Hilmar Pétursson mentioned that the PlayStation 3 version already supports mouse and keyboard controls.

"I wonder why we did that," he hinted, refusing to rule out the possibility of a PC release.

Contrary to earlier reports, Pétursson confirmed players won't be able to use ISK earned in DUST 514 in EVE Online, limiting interaction between the two to contracts, but added reiterated that DUST 514 is expected to grow and adapt as time goes by, with more and more interaction between the two games.

Asked about the possibility of spectating DUST 514 matches from inside EVE Online, Pétursson said it was "a really intriguing idea".

Shooter MMO DUST 514 is expected to launch on PlayStation 3 this year, and CCP will share details of an upcoming closed beta at the EVE Online Fanfest this month.
