Ridge Racer Unbounded delayed in US

Bugbear's Ridge Racer Unbounded has been shoved back by an unspecified period in the US, missing its expected late March release.

Namco Bandai announced the delay with a rather poingnant explanation that the extra time is required "to pack the disc with features that will truly make the game sing".

The publisher promised to reveal a new release date soon; going by past habits, we can expect to hear something in about one month. Pre-order incentives will be detailed at that time.

However, Namco Bandai UK marketing director Lee Kirton has confirmed to VG247 the delay doesn't affect Europe.

The racer, which places an emphasis on free roaming and user generated content, is expected on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It's only the second game in the series to release for PC, and apparently has nothing to do with a hardware launch. Amazing.
