Bigpoint to show A Game of Thrones MMO at GDC next week

Bigpoint has announced it will provide a first look at its browser-based MMO for A Game of Thrones during GDC next week.

Bigpoint has partnered with HBO to develop the game inspired by the television show, and it will be set within the fictional, medieval world of Westeros and its Seven Kingdoms, where "summers span decades and winters can last a lifetime."

Co-developed with Norwegian development studio, Artplant, the game will be built using the Unity development platform, and closed beta testing will begin in the fall.

Currently in pre-production, which began last summer, the game will be shown for the fist time at GDC next week where the firm will "discuss the game’s development with select journalists."

You can view the press release over on Gamers Hell and VentureBeat as two shots of it here.
