Boondock Saints game to be a "full-on co-op shooter" for PC, 360

Critical Mass president and CEO Matt Scibilia will be a "full-on co-op shooter" for PC and Xbox 360, and possibly PS3.

"We don't want to do a crap-ass franchise game," Scibilia told G4. "We're staying true to the content. We're looking to expand the story, not just retell the franchise.

"The Boondock Saints characters are so strong -- the banter, the relationships between Rocco and the brothers, the Catholicism, that will all be featured in the game."

Critical Mass is also planning to release a motion comic alongside the game, and while the firm is hoping for a full retail release, it could also come in episodic format through digital download.

The game will be shown off to the press at behind-closed-doors event at PAX East and E3 after being teased at SXSW last year, and a panel regarding the game will be held at SXSW 2012 next month.
