Iwata dismisses Nikkei report on Twitter, calls it "gossip"

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has taken to Twitter to address "gossip" contained in a Nikkei article which outed a supposed Seaman title and the fact Iwata thinks the firm will eventually "collapse" if things continue the way they are at the firm. Apparently, none of this was true.

"By the way, on Monday there was an inaccurate report online," he tweeted. "This sort of thing has continued repeatedly, with no context, self-serving language, and the blurring of truth and fiction. I'm astonished to see gossip magazine techniques being used."

Iwata didn't say whether or not the Seaman part was also "gossip," as he was only addressing the "collapse" quote of the report.

This isn't the first time Nintendo and Nikkei has butt heads, as it previously reported in October 2009 a larger DSi was in the works - a report Nintendo called "speculative". The firm ended up reveling DSi on October 29.
