GTA TV and Rockstar TV trademarks surface

Take-Two has has filed trademarks for both GTA TV and Rockstar TV which has led some to speculate the firm plans to include some sort of trans-media promotion for GTA V.

The trademarks , via OXM, cover your basics but also cover: "computer game programs and software; animated motion picture films featuring entertainment... pre-recorded video discs and other pre-recorded digital and electronic media in the field of live action programs, motion pictures, or animation featuring entertainment, namely, action, adventure, dramatic, comedic, children's and documentary themes."

Past titles in the series have included in-game websites and tv shows, so it's possible these have been trademarked for outside enjoyment.

We'll send a mail.

GTA V was announced back in November 2011 and has yet to receive a formal release window.
