More world types coming to Minecraft, says Mojang

Mojang's confirmed it'll add more world types to Minecraft following the inclusion of Superflat.

"Yes, more world types will be added when I have time to work on them," said lead developer Jens 'Jeb' Bergensten, speaking to Gamefront.

Bergensten, who took over as lead dev on the game when Notch stood down back in December, said the inclusion of Superflat wasn't intended to be played with hardcore in mind.

"It was added mainly as an option for multiplayer servers running in creative mode," he said.

"Some people are trying to challenge themselves and play it in hardcore, but that is not what I intended."
