Skullgirls trailer introduces suitably mad story

Reverge actually has an explanation for why its hardcore 2D fighter features women with things growing out of their heads.

Naturally, the explanation is something like “magic” but at least now you know why you’re frantically studying up on unblockable highs and non-looping combos in order to reach the final boss: got to get the Skullheart. Righto.

Skullgirls is a fighter built by passionate fighters for, uh, other passionate fighters, expected this year on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
