The Last of Us gets GI cover, first in-game shots today

Game Informer's March cover will feature The Last of Us, the publication's confirmed.

The magazine's also promised the first three in-game screens will go online from 4pm US central time today (10pm GMT tonight).

The feature will be the first time any gameplay's been seen by any press since the Naughty Dog survival action title's December announcement at the VGAs.

As well as the gameplay preview, GI's also promised chats from "the team members about their inspiration, and landed a ton of details you won't find anywhere else."

A late 2012/early 2013 launch is reiterated by Game Informer in its article on the cover. The timeline was first mentioned just after the game's announcement.
