Shepard "much more dynamic" in Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 will include greater variation in the way you can move across the battlefield, and prompts players to actually use them.

In the latest episode of BioWare Pulse, Commander Shepard is shown rolling out of and between cover and following lines of cover through 90 degree turns.

BioWare is also working to have Shepard's animations give the player subtle cues - turning to look at new cover spots in safe sprint distance, and ducking to indicate when it's not a good idea to run.

See the full episode below for a discussion of how the game's animations are created. Mass Effect 3 is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2012.
