Capcom to ship 420,000 copies of Monster Hunter 3G

Based on retailer sources, Andriasang reports Capcom will have 420,000 copies of Monster Hunter 3G ready for launch in Japan on December 10. 100,000 will be shipped as Slide Pad bundles, and 20,000 in 3DS system bundles.

Monster Hunter Tri sold more than 800,000 copies on Wii, and over 4 million units on PSP even before a recent PSP The Best budget re-release. Even the HD PS3 version managed 287,829 sales in its debut week. Capcom expects this fourth version to manage another 1.5 million sales. Retailers expect demand to exceed the initial shipping.
