Your disgusting life saved: Magna Mundi closed beta applications open

We know how it is. Your life's bumping the bottom, a holey shoebox of chips and dogshit. Your days drip through your awful house, repeated eddies of guilt and depression, anchorless clock-ticking driving you ever-closer to sweet, sweet death. Your kingdom for a focus, a goal. Thank almighty f**k, then, that Paradox has opened applications for a limited, closed beta for Magna Mundi, the world's most stupidly complicated strategy game, in which you can take one of 400 nations and maybe make it work over an infinite number of hours. Apply here before December 12, and you'll be told on December 16 if your existence is about to revert to greatness. It's out Q1 2012. Put those chips in the bin, soldier. Reach for the s**t-free stars.

Watch the gamescom trailer of Magna Mundi "in action" after the break.

After garnering experience on countless gaming magazines, he joined Eurogamer and later split from that brand to create VG247, putting the site on the map with fast, 24-hour a day coverage, and assembling the site's earliest editorial teams. He retired from VG247, and the games industry, in 2017.
