Terraria patch to bring a megaton of new loot

Indie darling Terraria - sometimes called a "2D Minecraft" - updates to version 1.1 on December 1 with a free patch, adding masses of new content.

As detailed on the game's blog, the update brings 39 monsters including four bosses, three new NPCs, and 222 new items including four sets of armour and 21 accessories.

The update also adds a hard mode, overhauls lighting, rejigs the inventory system, adds a mechanic system fro crafting traps and other devices - and will be compatible with existing worlds.
