PlayStation 3 3D Display delayed in Europe, UK

Sony's dedicated 3D monitor for PlayStation 3 has fallen off the retail radar.

Amazon's listing for the display has been updated, removing the release date.

The PlayStation branded tech was expected to arrived to arrive in the UK and Europe in line with the US release earlier this month.

Eurogamer confirmed the delay with Sony, but couldn't get an updated ETA.

Announced at E3 2011 in June, the 3D display allows two players to view individual images thanks to to SimulView stereoscopy, allowing for cheat-free couch co-op.

Launch plans for the display has been troubled; pre-orders for the device placed before September 30 were expected to be rewarded with a copy of Resistance 3, but Sony swapped the shooter out for Motorstorm: Apocalypse.
