Skyrim PC patch stems executable tinkering, LAA use

Bethesda’s put out a Skyrim patch that ties the PC version of the RPG more closely into Steam and apparently stops users accessing RAM over 2Gb, RPS reports.

The update limits gamers’ ability to tinker with Skyrim’s main .exe, which means a third-party patch allowing large address aware (LAA) use – boosting the game’s visuals and stability – has now been stemmed.
