Build your ultimate team with NFL Blitz Elite League
The Elite League mode of NFL Blitz has the player collecting, trading and even gambling cards to built the ultimate team.
As revealed in the latest two minute drill developer diary, players are given a starting pack but can purchase new cards with Blitz Bucks earned by playing other online modes.
Cards - which also provide power ups - come with a limited contract, which can be renewed with Blitz Bucks.
The best players aren't available for purchase; trade in a number of cards, and you'll have the chance to purchase Pro and Ultimate players, which have unlimited contracts and max stats.
You can take your team to the field in versus play, including a special mode called Risk & reward, which lets you rifle through a defeated opponents cards and steal the best one - while they watch, helpless to stop you. Ha ha ha.
Elite is the third online mode to be revealed for the game, the others being co-op and Blitz Battle. Next week's two minute drill will again focus on Blitz Bucks, the Blitz Store, and what's on offer.
NFL Blitz is EA Sports' resurrection of the classic Midway series. It's expected on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in January 2012. Watch the full developer diary below.
