City Interactive announces Stuart Black-designed Enemy Front

City Interactive has announced Enemy Front, a FPS currently in works with ex-Codemasters developer Stuart Black as lead designer.

Taking place during World War II, the first-person action-shooter tells the tale of a soldier dropped behind enemy lines who must engage in and complete "dynamic, diversified missions ranging from quick skirmishes, espionage assignments, and sabotage activities."

The game's story spans several years, and includes key moments in history such as a quest in Wolf’s Lair and the actions surrounding the deciphering of the Enigma code. Historical battles will be fought as well from France to Berlin, eventually leading to a secret weapons base where a "terrifying weapon that will all but assure a global Nazi victory" must be destroyed.

Enemy Front is being developed with CryEngine 3 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and will be released sometime next year.
