Call of Duty Elite updated - founder bonuses available

Activision has released an update on its troubled social network, Call of Duty Elite.

"Over the past few days, we’ve been able to make several key improvements to Call of Duty Elite," a post on the Call of Duty Elite status page advises.

"We will keep you updated as our progress continues. Thanks again for your patience and understanding. We continue to work around the clock to bring you the full Call of Duty Elite experience."

The post asks players who are eligible for Founders' benefits to log into elite.callofduty.com to check for a green skull icon next to their gamer ID, which means Founder status is activated.

Founder benefits will be available in-game "within a matter of hours"; those not seeinf founder status should contact Activision Customer Support.

Changes and improvements since the last update of November 11 include:

  • Title, emblem and weapon camo for Founders are all available
  • Title, emblem and Double XP for all members are available
  • Improved stability for both the console app and website

Other fixes still to come include increasing the number of concurrent users supported, resolving age restriction issues in multiple territories, and the upcoming release of iOS and Android apps.

Call of Duty Elite launched alongside Modern Warfare 3 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but the PC version has been delayed.
