The Longest Journey coming to iOS

The classic and acclaimed adventure title The Longest Journey is coming to an iPhone near you.

While not giving any date or pricing details, creator Ragnar Tørnquist told Videogamer an iDevice port was happening.

The 1999 game and its 2006 sequel, Dreamfall, are among the most cherished artefacts of the point-and-click adventure genre. Both are widely praised for their involved storylines and imaginative, beautiful fantasy setting.

The series was expected to spawn at least a third entry, with Tørnquist indicating that such a thing isn't impossible even now, but Funcom is currently at work on The Secret World.

The Longest Journey is also available for PC through Steam and Good Old Games.

Thanks, Joystiq.
