The Secret World’s Dragon Week outlines recruitment and ranking missions

Funcom has revealed more details of The Secret World’s most mysterious faction, the Korean-based agents of chaos, Dragon.

As part of its ongoing reveal of the faction, Funcom gave a description of the Dragon’s recruitment and one ranking mission.

The Dragon is led by a single figure – currently a male – who usually interacts only with his guardians and servants, a group of monks who have taken a vow of silence so far as to sew their mouths shut.

Initiates are kidnapped and dumped in a nondescript neighbourhood in South Korea, expected to solve the mystery confronting them and find the Dragon’s current headquarters.

Players rise through the ranks by completing assignments; in the example given, the Illuminati have offered to purchase an important artefact from a New York based cult, and the Dragon player must infiltrate the Illuminati to get close enough to the deal to shut it down.

As the player approaches their target, a Wendigo attacks – an agent of another power keen to stop the Illuminati having its way.

The keen-eyed among you will notice that these events are depicted in the screens released earlier this week; there’s some new art below on the same theme.

No firm release date for The Secret World or its beta yet.
