Keiji Inafune to head up Overwhelming Game Infinite Souls

Ex-Capcom leader Keiji Inafune is set to lead an all-star team on the latest JRPG from Idea Factory, Overwhelming Game Infinite Souls.

Siliconera reports Inafune, who departed Capcom dramatically almost exactly a year ago, will produce the latest entry in the umbrella franchise which includes Spectral Force, Spectral Souls, Blazing Souls and Spectral Gene.

Inafune was named head producer at Idea Factory last week. He will be joined by director Kenta Sugano, best know for Record of Agarest War, and the art team includes Disgaea veterans Ryoji, Kei Nanameda, and Takehito Harada.

The game is said to be a vanilla JRPG which begins by customising a character, unlimited character progression, and a combat system including triple counter stops, tower attacks and infinite cooperation combos, whatever they are.

Megaman creator Inafune has been busy over the past 12 months, founding two companies, teasing a new social game and a PS3 exclusive which may be Overhwelming Game Infinite Souls, signing with Mobage, and just last week announcing a new 3DS game, Kai-Oh.
