Cliff Bleszinski wants to talk Marcus Fenix in Mortal Kombat

An interesting little Twitter exchange between between Netherrealm's Ed Boon and Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski suggests a possibility of a Gears of War character appearing in a Mortal Kombat game.

Replying to a fan question, Boon revealed that if a Microsoft-exclusive character had appeared in the latest entry to balance Sony's Kratos, it would have been one of Epic's COGS.

"I wudda wanted Marcus Fenix from Gears," he tweeted.

Moments later, this reply came from Bleszinski:

"Hit me up about that!"

Two creatives shooting the breeze about possibilities is not confirmation of anything, or even confirmation of negotiation of anything - especially as recent marketing suggests Mortal Kombat's downloadable roster expansions have ended. Still, it's cool to see the possible beginnings of something pretty awesome.
