Forza 4 Demo detailed

The demo of Microsoft and Turn 10's highly anticipated racing sim Forza Motorsport 4 is due to arrive on the 3rd October - and Microsoft has now dropped the details on exactly what content will make up the demo.

The content of the online demo of Forza 4 will be based off the E3 2011 demo. That means it'll let you quick race on the fictional Bernese Alps track with the 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO, 2011 Subaru WRX STI, 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator and - the least glamorous of the bunch, the Kia cee'd.

The Kia has presumably been picked because it is Top Gear's official current 'Reasonably Priced Car' that celebrities tackle the track in, and the Top Gear partnership is a big selling point for Turn 10.

The demo will also include the Rivals mode, new to Forza 4. Essentially Forza's answer to Need for Speed's Autolog system, Rivals mode lets you go head to head against the folks on your friends list even when they're not online. Beating people will net you in game rewards.

The demo is out on 3rd October for Xbox Live Gold members, and will be available 7 days later for everyone else.
