Cryptic drops F2P details for Star Trek Online

Cryptic's detailed the F2P switch for Star Trek Online, detailing what free players and subscribers will get for their worth.

Free players (Silver) will get most of what the game entails, including character creation, all of the missions, basic ships, full list of levels, and special task services.

Here's where catch 101 comes into effect: restrictions in place for Silver players include a limited mail system, a reduced inventory system, unable to make missions in mission creator Foundry - although they will be able to try out ones created by subs - and will only have just two character slots.

Gold members - those who sub or have a lifetime sub - will get store points, priority login, respec tokens, full access to Foundry and other things.

Klingon content for both subs and freers will now also unlock at Level 25 instead of the low-end access it has now, and that the game will now operate under one currency once the F2P change happens, known as Dilithium.

More details here. Thanks, Massively.
