Dead Island comic prequel now available on the Marvel website

Deep Silver has released a six-page digital comic prequel to the Dead Island story, available exclusively on the Marvel website.

The comic reveals the events which took place before the zombie outbreak on the island of Banoi.

Readers will be introduced to journalist Roger Howard, who has arrived at the island's Royal Palms Resort to investigate the illegal exploitation its resources. You can pretty much figure out what happens after that.

Created by Marvel Custom Solutions' writer William Dailey, along with artists Jorge Lucas, Juan Santacruz, Diego Olmos, Carlos Rodriguez and Sergio Arino, the comic also features a cover by Christian Nauck.

The comic was previously only available as a printed limited edition at San Diego ComiCon back in July. Read it here.

Dead Island is slated for OnLive, PC, PS 3, and Xbox 360 in early September.
