Vampires return in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will see the return of a beloved enemy: vampires.

In a preview of the game posted on Ripten, vampires were discovered in a mountain cave otherwise populated by skeletal undead.

It's not yet clear whether the player can contract the condition, thereby gaining access to an extra playable race - or whether werewolves make an appearance.

Other details revealed in the preview include the system by which the game switches from in-game to map view - the camera pulls rapidly away from the landscape - and the ability to knock enemies off cliffs with shield blows.

The preview also identified the casting of veteran voice actor Jim Cummings, who has appeared in Mass Effect 2, Fallout, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and many other games among a list of acting credits as long as an orangutang's arms -although Bethesda wouldn't give official confirmation.

Skyrim releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11.

Thanks, Mythor.
