SOE releases EQII game update 61, a revamped free trial

SOE has announced it's improved its free trial EverQuest II by allowing folks to play the game for two weeks and experience the first seven expansions up through Destiny of Velious. Trial players will also receive a Superior Experience potion which ups character advancement for two hours, and a Green Journeyman's Cloak which provides a 25 percent speed boost. The firm has also released Game Update 61 today, which includes a complete loot and itemization revamp, and level 60 to 90 scalable dungeons. Full patch notes can be found through here.
