Nintendo pre-TGS event whispers sees stock rise

A report coming out of Japan this morning is claiming that Nintendo is set to hold a pre-Tokyo Game Show event.

Bloomberg Japan is saying that the company will have a 3DS-related event on September 13, two days before the big show begins on September 15.

It's not clear what the event will hold, but maybe it could have something to do with the rumoured hardware revision from earlier today.

That said, Nintendo very, very rarely does TGS: the company does not have a showfloor presence, but it has keynoted it, more recently in 2005 with Satoru Iwata's unveil of the Wiimote.

The news has seen company stock go above yesterday's level by 9.7 percent. Make of it as you will.

Thanks, Andriasang.
