The Baconing: Dated for Steam, XBL, new screens

Hothead Games has announced Steam and Xbox 360 dates for The Baconing, DeathSpank’s latest adventure. The details are posted below, to avoid any date confusions, along with some new screenshots.

Already announced for release on PSN August 30 in the US and August 31 in Europe, the game will land on Steam for Mac and PC August 31. Like with the PS Play program, if you order the game before its release, you will get 20 percent knocked off the full price of the game.

On XBL, the game will be released on August 31 and will run you 1200 Microsoft Points.

Also, as a reminder, if you pre-purchase through PSN, not only will you get the discount, but an additional co-op character named Roesha, and a PlayStation Network theme. Roesha is a 70’s era inspired police woman with an over-sized pistol named One Bad Mutha. When the gun is not enough to take down and enemy, Roesha calls upon her electric disco ball to take down a big crowd. She can also fire First Aid shells at DeathSpank, and taunts with a Charlie’s Angel inspired pose.
