The latest clutch of gorgeous Dark Souls screens have popped up on the game’s Facebook page, showing off more brutal combat and revealing some extra details of the character creation process.

The screens on the game’s Facebook page reveal ten classes from which you’ll base your hero on, whichever you pick you going to die. A lot.

The classes shown are:

  • Warrior
  • Knight
  • Wanderer
  • Thief
  • Bandit
  • Hunter
  • Sorcerer
  • Pyromancer
  • Cleric
  • Deprived

This time around you’ll be able to customise your avatar’s body type and build, as well as the face. The facial configuration options look to retain the same depth as they had in Demon’s Souls, however – one screen shows seven options for customising your character’s chin.

Dark Souls is launching on PS3 and 360 on October 4 in the US and October 7 in PAL territories. In case you missed it yesterday, check out the new gamescom trailer.
