Pre-purchase for the hardest of hardcore multiplayer shooters have opened, with a neat discount for those who get in ahead of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad’s launch at the end of the month.

Destructoid noted the Tripwire game’s arrival on Steam, in two different forms, standard and digital deluxe.

The Steam digital deluxe includes beta access, four special weapons, two Team Fortress 2 hats, and two Killing Floor characters.

All pre-orders net two special badges and weapons at launch, and those who own the original game on Steam will net a further discount and save 20 percent, which is a nice bonus.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is a follow up to previous entry Ostfront 41-45, which is notorious among the PC crowd for its difficulty and emphasis on tactics and team work. It’s due for release on August 31.
