New Xbox 360 wireless headset with Bluetooth and 360 media remote announced

Microsoft has announced two new items for Xbox 360: one is a wireless headset with Bluetooth, and the other is a remote control.

Bluetooth for your 360 and more

The Xbox 360 wireless headset with Bluetooth allows users to chat over Xbox Live and Bluetooth enabled mobile phones without changing headsets, apparently. It is also compatible with Bluetooth enabled PCs and connects to Xbox 360 through the console’s standard radio frequencies.

It has noise cancellation and uses Bluetooth 3.0 and will let you answer cell calls with "the flip of a switch." It has both bue and green LED rings of light to show which mode the device is in, and comes with three sizes of ear gels and an ear loop.

The device allows up to eight hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby on a single charge. It includes a micro USB charging cable so you can charge it using the Xbox 360 USB ports.

The headset will run you $59.99 and will be available in stores worldwide beginning early November 2011.

Another remote to add to the collection

Microsoft is also releasing a new Xbox 360 Media Remote, which will allow users to navigate the Dashboard, as well as DVD and CD playback, and media playback through Live.

It will also control volume and power on various TVs, runs on 2 AAA batteries, works with Netflix, Hulu Plus, and ESPN. The menu navigation controls include A, B, X, Y buttons, D-pad navigation, back and select. Live TV, if provided on the Xbox 360 by your TV service provider, can also be controlled with it.

The Xbox 360 Media Remote will be available worldwide for $19.99 and will be in stores in early November 2011.
