"Darkstalkers are not dead" Ono declares

Street Fighter and Darkstalkers lead creative Yoshinori Ono teased Comic Con attendees with the news that Darkstalkers isn't buried.

Gamesradar reports Ono flashed an image containing the words "DarkStalkers are not dead" during his presentation in San Diego.

His speech apparently suggested that he's still trying to convince Capcom executives to give the "other" fighter franchise another chance.

Ono said he'd try to get some HD remakes of the Street Fighter Alpha series happening, too.

The last Darkstalkers (or Vampire Hunter) game was a Japan-only collection of past titles launched in 2005. The last core entry released in 1997.
