Free Witcher 2 DLC confirmed for patch 1.3

CD Projekt RED has confirmed an earlier report in Polish that the next Witcher 2 patch will feature free DLC.

The DLC is listed as part of a changelog for patch 1.3, which is yet to be dated.

The free add-on features one new quest, titled A Sackful of Fluff. It kicks off in the second chapter if you visit a hut near the quarry outside Vergen, where Elthon resides, possibly gibbering to himself.

No word on whether the DLC adds any new items but the teasing comment that the "quest will prove most rewarding to those who demonstrate patience" suggests stealthy types might be in for something shiny.

Some other interesting additions in the upcoming patch inclue item storage at inns to assist with inventory management; the removal of an opportunity to beat up a woman; and that the "elf woman in Vergen no longer strikes a T-pose".

I don't know what that means but I'm going to find out before the patch hits, I assure you.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is out now on PC, and coming to Xbox 360.

Thanks, Blue.
