Report - Unannounced Rockstar DS title unearthed

Rockstar keeps its projects close - even when everyone knows what they are - so this report of a mysterious DS game isn't so far fetched.

SystemLink reports it has hold of the resume of a former Rockstar staffer revealing an unannounced title.

The AI programmer, who served for three and a half years leading up to October 2010, makes mention of an "unannounced DS title set in a full 3D open world" with a "complex hand-to-hand combat system".

Rockstar did produce one DS game - Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. It didn't feature hand-to-hand combat.

The platform, staffer's transition to work on LA Noire, and time passed suggests whatever it was probably got the axe, but the lack of recent updates from the secretive Rockstar as to what it is actually up to have given birth to wild speculation that the DS title mentioned above is still in production, possibly for 3DS.

I'd pile a couple of packets of salt on that.
