A report from the Japan Online Game Association states that revenue from online gaming in the country grew 3 percent during 2010 to ¥132.9 billion ($1.68 billion). Packages software contributed ¥29.4 billion ($372 million) to the figure, and ¥103.5 billion ($1.31 billion) came from online game operation.
