Pick up that control pad, soldier. Treyarch has quickly resolved the network issues plaguing Call of Duty: Black Ops is having a few issues earlier today.

According to the Black Ops status page, the game’s returned to fully operational status.

A few hours ago, it was sitting at DEFCON 2, with all servers online but ongoing network problems keeping some users offline.

Although the issues were described as “outside of our control”, Treyarch quickly noted the problems, with game design director David Vonderhaar asking for calm as the team was “trying to get it sorted”.

It’s not clear whether the problems applied to all territories and platforms, but everything’s rosy again now. It’s probably testament to the game’s popularity that there’s been so much outrage over an outage; Black Ops recently became the UK’s best selling game of all time.
