The long-overdue Final Fantasy VII costume pack will finally arrive next week for LBP2, July 13, Sony has confirmed on the US PS Blog.

Costumes sold separately will include Cloud, Aeris, Tifa and – naturally – Sephiroth for $1.99. The costume pack will include all four of the mentioned, as well as bonus costume Vincent, for $5.99.

The FFVII DLC was first announced originally for the first LBP back at TGS 2008 alongside the Metal Gear Solid pack, but has gone amazingly quiet until now.

Sony’s also confirmed it’ll launch an inFamous 2 costume pack this week feature good and bad Cole for $2.99.

Killzone 3 and Toy Story 3 costume packs are to follow in the subsequent weeks.

  • Cloud's horribly impractical sword has been created in the real world

In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud carries around like a really big sword. It’s as big as he is really, and I’ve often wondered how he could even hold the thing. Now, the guy who made a real-life version of the Minecraft diamond sword built this Buster sword, and it is completely ridiculous. Video inside.
