Original Everquest gets recruit-a-friend program

For those of you who still play the original Everquest you’ll now have an opportunity to get friends in on the action with Sony’s new recruit-a-friend program

People who participate in the program are said to gain a load of free stuff from in-game cash, to exclusive mounts, bonus experience, and a wealth of other items to help make your continued stay in Norrath just a little bit more pleasant.

This move comes just days after World of Warcraft went free-to-play and Rift decreased its price to just $5. Perhaps Everquest is making one final stab to hold onto its long, full life.
