Japanese charts - PSP still has it, RE: Mercenaries debuts in first

Media Create has released the unit sales chart for Japanese hardware and software for the week ending June 5, and it finds PSP still the clear winner and Capcom's Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D debuting in first place on the software chart.

Chris, Jill, Barry, Claire, and the rest shoot to the top

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D hit the top of the Japanese retail charts at number one, moving almost 59,000 units in three days, while last week's top earner, One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP, fell to second place with 16,753 units moved.

That's a drastic difference there between the top two earners for the week, which should give you an idea of how the rest of the offerings on the chart fared.

Only one other title debuted in the top 20 for the week, and it was Phantom Breaker for Xbox 360, and sales looked about the same compared to last week on the rest of the chart.

Wii Fitness was back on the chart though, moving from the 25 spot last week to 17, and Nintendogs + Cats was back at the 18 spot after sitting in 24 last week.
