iPhone camera maker hints at Project Cafe tie-in

The company who created the camera for iPhone has hinted at a possible deal with Nintendo over Wii successor Project Cafe.

OmniVision mentioned in its most recent financials that it had secured a "significant design win" to suppy camera for a games console that would launch in the future.

With Microsoft behind Kinect and Sony creating its own camera for NGP, Cafe seems like the most likely outcome here. Camera support via the new hardware's controller has been rumoured for quite a while.

Following months of talk on the machine, Nintendo will finally unveil Cafe during its E3 press conference on Tuesday. Watch the site for full live coverage of the reveal.

The new hardware will launch in 2012.
