Jaffe: Twisted Metal's cars are more like fighter jets

Eat Sleep Play leader David Jaffe has said Twisted Metal can't go down the realistic handling route, because its battles have more in common with aerial combat.

"Every time we start a Twisted Metal, Scott and I are like, 'Hey, man, let's do realistic cars', and it's a disaster, mainly because this is more like fighter jets," Jaffe told the US PS Blog

"They happen to look like cars, but they're like [beeped] fighter jets. You're doing a lot of jousting and then when you're both on the offence, and then when you're on the defence you want to get out of there really fast."

So, no realistic handling, then? Nope!

"It's a shooter, it's not a racer," he commented, adding that he sees it as a pick up and play party game, as well as a fighter, comparing it to Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.
