SpongeBob SquigglePants doodles its way to 3DS

He lives in a pineapple under the sea, but SpongeBob SquarePants has just made his Nintendo 3DS debut too, with the release of SpongeBob SquigglePants from THQ.

SpongeBob SquigglePants

The character claiming to be everybody's favourite yellow sponge returns to the damp world of Bikini Bottom on Nintendo's new console, experimenting with the handheld's new 3D display.

Patchy the Pirate, guides gamers through more than 100 "nanogames" (even smaller than minigames!), all presented in "eye-popping" 3D. Each of the game's seven worlds also features its own, unique art style, including:

  • B-Movie is inspired by the thrilling days of drive-in movies and stylish horror films;
  • Sketch Bob gives the seaworthy inhabitants of Bikini Bottom a freehand style look;
  • Simply Bob is a stylized and abstract interpretation of life under the sea;
  • and Icon Bob is exclusive to 3DS and adds even more fun and games.

There you go - tilt, flip, drag and shake your way through Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob - who said cartoons were just for kids?
