Darkspore console port hinted at by level designer's CV

Industry sleuth Superannuation has turned up an intriguing reference to a possible console port for Maxis' action RPG, Darkspore.

The résume of a level designer at Naked Sky Entertainment suggests the Microbots developer "worked with Maxis to modify Darkspore for release on Xbox/PS3."

Interested parties have declined to comment on the matter, which is a lot more promising than saying the idea was floated and then shelved.

Darkspore is an action hybrid RPG built on the Spore engine, allowing for intricate customisation. The PC version was released at the end of April, and EA have previously made little mention of the possibility of a port to consoles.

Thanks, Joystiq.
